Contrafact is a small app built by one person. It helps you write chord progressions and beats for songs, turn them into MIDI you can export straight to your DAW, and share what you make with friends. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
I wanted a fast, friendly way to sketch harmony and rhythm. Generate some ideas, write a progression chord by chord, arrange it into a song, then get clean MIDI out the other end. Contrafact is the sketchpad and your DAW is the studio.
This is a labour of love that I build and look after in my spare time. To keep it going I need your support and your suggestions. Tell me what's missing, what's confusing, and what you'd love it to do next. Every bit of feedback really does shape where it goes.
